The Tesla Cybertruck’s brutalist design has long inspired sci-fi comparisons, but some designers are taking it a step further. One concept by Charlie Automotive transforms it into a six-wheeled lunar rover with satellite uplinks, oversized terrain tires, and a body that looks built for the Moon. As Designboom highlighted, the truck’s electric powertrain and stainless-steel shell already give it a head start for space exploration. With a few extra sensors and communication arrays, it wouldn’t be out of place in a NASA payload.
Military Modifications Are Already Here

Others aren’t dreaming—they’re building. A partnership between Archimedes Defense and Unplugged Performance has resulted in a combat-ready Cybertruck platform called the STING, featuring bolt-on armor, onboard power generation, and military-grade off-road capabilities. The build was profiled by Army Recognition, which detailed armor protection against 7.62mm rounds and embedded 800V generators for remote missions. It’s the closest the Cybertruck has come yet to becoming a battlefield vehicle.
Camping Goes Solar

Not everyone’s gearing up for war or space. Some just want to camp. Off-grid living concepts have emerged that turn the Cybertruck into a solar-powered mini home. Designs like the CyberLandr or Space Camper include integrated solar panels, Starlink satellite internet, and folding kitchen-and-bed setups. A recent concept shared by the Cybertruck Owners Club shows how these attachments could turn the truck into a fully self-sufficient rig capable of remote exploration without ever needing to plug in.
The Wildest Version Yet

One of the most unexpected Cybertruck sightings came out of Chechnya, where leader Ramzan Kadyrov appeared beside a modified unit fitted with a machine gun turret. The post claimed Elon Musk had gifted the vehicle, but as Business Insider reported, Musk denied the story—and the vehicle was reportedly disabled remotely by Tesla. It’s a stark reminder of the Cybertruck’s symbolic power and technical reach.
From Fantasy to Reality

Whether it’s on the Moon, at a war base, or tucked beside a desert trail with solar panels extended, the Cybertruck continues to evolve in ways no one expected. And with deliveries now underway, these concepts are shifting from renders to real-world experiments. The future might not be so far off.
